  Good Morning Y'all!  As many of you know, I  promote life-cycle preparedness and I've been sharing about this #Prediction2053.   I've heard it all... "I don't believe it. It'll all work out" (denial); "I'm good. Did you watch the game today?" (avoidance); "God's got my back, I don't need to prepare. "(spiritual jellyfish) , "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it." (fear) , "Nobody tells me what to do with my money" (Hardhead, recalcitrant). African Americans don't like talking about money. We talk about everything else but how we steward our money. This must change, if we don't want our children, and theirs, to end up in a 2nd captivity by 2053, due to Zero Median Family Wealth. (per Inequality.org)   Yes, Zero Median wealth means lifelong indebtedness, no retirement, diminished quality of life.   From Checkers to Chess: The Strategic Evolution of African American Economics In the game of  checkers , movement is limited. The player can only move forward—one step at a time. This kind of play represents  linear thinking —a reactive approach where every move is predictable and confined. It symbolizes survival mode: advancing only within the boundaries set by others. For too long, many in the African American community have been constrained to this kind of economic play— forced to move forward without the ability to retreat, regroup, or re-strategize .
