It's time for "Kind" Capitalism

With regard to #Prediction2053, and the topic of wealth, Capitalism and
profit are often "demonized" in the African American community, and particularly the Christian community.

I grew up hearing "money is the root of all evil", or "if you go into business, start a non-profit", which to me, is a contradiction in terms! As a result we seem more inclined to get on the non-profit treadmill, rather than outright entrepreneurialism.

However, it is profit, which is not allowed with a non-profit, that drives the majority of investment in actual construction of brick and mortar spaces that can benefit the common good.
Blame Capitalism's "bad rap" on the profiteering-driven regime that has dominated the economy since 1619, that's right, since the first enslaved person become an unethical source of profit. That's the "system" we're still immersed in to this day, that profiteers from the financial unpreparedness and physical or mental bondage of American citizens and residents within its borders.
So, you see, there is a difference between well-meaning profit, and malevolent profiteering. Now that we know, we can't unknow.

If we are going to prevent #Prediction2053 and neutralize Project2025, we need to become capitalists, the right kind, and the current "system" needs to transform, reform, or retire.

No nation can profiteer from the bondage of it's citizens and thrive. It may survive, but the whole will not thrive and it's parts will remain forever contentious and divided. Sound familiar?

I stumbled upon this article, a good one, that explains the different kinds of capitalism. Include it in required reading for our young people. They need to become the new capitalists, for better futures.
BTW, Century 5-10-10-75™ practices "kind capitalism"😁😎 Yes, I came up with that, to describe profit-driven enterprise that derives benefit, revenue, and sustainable growth from helping patrons and partners become preparedness-strong, financially, strategically, tactically, wholistically, spiritually. That is the SOLUTION, particularly for African American culture, in this century: A preparedness-strong economy and industry.

And regarding Christianity and Profit, I'm no scholar, but here are some scriptures regarding profit and capitalism that appear to indicate that it is the mis-use and abuse of profit and the LOVE of money that lead to downfall.

Scriptures about money and profit - courtesy of Bible Hub

  • Proverbs 13:11: "Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.”
  • Proverbs 14:23: "In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.”
  • 1 Timothy 6:17-19: "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;"
  • Matthew 6:19-21: "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:"
  • Luke 6:38: "Give, and you will receive."
