An Easter Call to Activism: “Only What We Do for  Christ  Will Last” Easter is a sacred time when Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of  Jesus Christ  and the promise it represents. As written in Bible,  “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Yet Easter also invites us to reflect on a deeper truth often spoken in the church, yet not often enough within our  Christian  households :  Only what we do for  Christ  will last. This message does not justify violence or conquest carried out in His name.  History has shown that men have sometimes used religion to cloak exploitation, domination, or profiteering.
