"Only what we do for Christ will Last" - An Easter call to Activism
An Easter Call to Activism: “Only What We Do for Christ Will Last”
Easter is a sacred time when Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise it represents. As written in Bible, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Yet Easter also invites us to reflect on a deeper truth often spoken in the church, yet not often enough within our Christian households : Only what we do for Christ will last.
This message does not justify violence or conquest carried out in His name. History has shown that men have sometimes used religion to cloak exploitation, domination, or profiteering. But the life of Jesus Christ reveals the opposite example.
Jesus came to save mankind, not destroy it.
He came to uplift our common humanity, to teach compassion, mercy, and love for our fellow man. Jesus was an activist!
When we say “Only what we do for Christ will last,” we can also understand it this way:
Only what we do for the love, protection, and salvation of our fellow human beings will last.
Jesus did not come to divide humanity.
He came so that each of us would decide—to choose love over indifference, service over selfishness, and preparation over neglect. Many of the divisions we experience arise not from His teachings, but from our refusal to live by God’s laws of love, stewardship, and responsibility toward one another.
This Easter, let us recommit ourselves to living our faith through action.
At WePrepare.Us, and it's division, The Century 5-10-10-75 Trust, that action takes the form of preparedness activism—building places and spaces that strengthen families, protect communities, and ensure that every household has access to preparedness equity.
When we help families become resilient…
When we build institutions that safeguard future generations…
When we invest in spaces that nurture children and strengthen communities…
we are living out the principle that only what we do for Christ will last.
This Easter, let us renew our commitment:
- To love our neighbor through tangible acts of preparation and care.
- To build institutions that protect and uplift future generations.
- To transform faith into action that strengthens families and communities.
Because faith is not only what we believe.
Faith is what we build, what we protect, and what we leave behind for others.
And in the end, only what we do for Christ—through love for our fellow man—will truly last.
Peace & Preparedness,
Pam
