The iPrep2Thrive™ MAG (Mutual Assistance Group) has been renamed as a MRG (Mutual Resilience Group)

 


Update! As of 9-12-2024, the iPrep2Thrive™ MAG (Mutual Assistance Group) has been renamed as a MRG (Mutual Resilience Group) to more aptly describe our mission to fortify preparedness and most importantly resilience before, during, and beyond at-risk events.


This description also distinguishes us from the traditional MAGs, some of which have a negative connotation. i.e. Take the "A" off MAGA and what do you get? 😕Also the "assistance" tag would have misconstrued that we are a physical rescue deployment entity, or that we "assist" in direct provision of recovery resources. As a primarily virtual group, that's beyond the scope of my founding intentions.


We want to empower MRG members to be self-prepared and fortified, as best they can, strategically and tactically. We will keep the same focus on the 3 resource POWERS:
*Water
*Energy (for electro-mechanical activities)
*Communications

May is Senior/Elderly “Preparedness Buddy” month. Truth be told, many of us have traditionally perceived the Senior/Elderly demographic as being less productive, and less able-bodied after entering “elderly” status.   Yet * recent studies show  that , Seniors overall, are among the most lively , continually productive, and “preparedness-strong” adults among us! Baby Boomers have actually benefited from better health habits in their formative years: Less processed food, more outdoor activity exposure, more 1 on 1 social interaction. These formative years exposures have provided long-term benefits as we proceed into the 55+ category. March   is Women of Preparedness Month at PerennialNC!    We celebrate the unique strengths of icons, past & present who emulate Christian faith, preparedness, resilience, and grace, amidst an at-risk world. They were & are preparedness-driven, against the odds,  to make life better for others. It takes faith, fearlessness, and self-preparedness, to take a stand as a woman, in the past, to the present day!  There are so many women that represent these attributes, who don’t “make the news” or get an award.  We honor them all!
